A vintage Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. A rustic shepherd leans against a tree stump while his herd of cows, sheep, and goats grazes and drinks on the left in an open, tree-shaded landscape. The image is edged by an acanthus arabesque all round. The rug’s design is taken from a European print with the colors added by the weaver.
