An antique Turkish Oushak carpet. This carpet is almost all field, no border. The pearl ground extends across the entire carpet and the field displays a loose, open rendition of the Harshang design of large rust palmettes with the addition of squirming cloud bands. Field motives spill over into the otherwise undecorated narrow border.
