Chinese Inspired Vintage Turkish Room Size Carpet

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. One very odd carpet, with a Chinese design on a red field of snakes, dragons, pavilions, landscape vignettes, vases, half parasols and lion dogs. In the center is a round ecru medallion with four lion dogs and a ground line including banded rocks. Triangular straw corners with dragons. Main ecru border with cartouches and innermost with a wave fret pattern. Outer border with complex reciprocal design. An amusing take on a rug from far across the globe. Probably unique.
