A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The closely abrashed teal-blue ground features a large phoenix perched on a still life of vases, set beneath a tree with sparse foliage that arches protectively overhead. Smaller birds flutter across the field, and peonies emerge from the lower ground strip. The narrow main border consists of cloud knots, with a rain Yun-tsao Tou border.
