A wool pile with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this evenly woven oasis city piece shows Turkmen influence, featuring tightly packed rows and columns of octagonal guls, each uniformly adorned with a radiating four-ram’s horn motif, all in goldenrod, shades of blue, ecru, charcoal, and straw. The main border displays a polychrome slanting 'rain' pattern. The field slides under the borders at both ends, and to a lesser extent, on the sides. In as-new condition.
