This wool pile, with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, features an abrashed pale blue field hosting a two-by-two array of giant, characteristic branching pomegranate trees and vases. The round, textured fruits resemble the 'moon' medallions found on Yarkand carpets from Western China. The secondary border is adorned with a doubled fret pattern, while the light blue main stripe showcases rosettes on a trapezoidal meander. The design is rendered in a soft, subdued palette.
