A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, in the style of Alexander Calder. While there are no mobiles, the sandy, borderless ground features various abstract shapes, including a coiled motif, a black right-angle 'snake,' a double triangle (solid and striped), a bold band-like motif ending in another coil, and a concentric circle. This design is quintessentially '50s, especially as the double triangle could easily be interpreted as a cocktail glass!
