Wool-facing wefts in a warp-sharing tapestry weave. This striking, heavy-duty Anatolian piece features a slate border with squared rosettes, framing a bold central field with a nested lozenge and triangles filling in at the ends and sides. The sections are filled with slate, ecru, tawny yellow, abrashed red, and black in an eye-catching striped design. Additional beige end panels (eteks) are adorned with colorful, floating arrowhead triangles. Red and ecru secondary borders display a pattern of short, parallel bands. A prime example of modern Turkish village craftsmanship.
