A wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation, this large Anatolian piece displays a repeated 'Memling gul' allover pattern arranged in a nine-by-sixteen rectangular grid within a barber pole design. The piece is accented with tones of rust, light green, ecru, and brown, among others. Its distinctive old ivory border features interconnected stars. Perhaps not Oushak—so, what could it be?
