Many post-WWII Anatolians have totally eschewed framing borders in favor of an overall geometric display. Here we find a square mosaic in shades of ecru, pale yellow, pale blue, medium blue, dark red, and green. The selvages and end finishes act as the narrow border. There is no over-pattern of the component squares; they are distributed in a pleasingly random manner, although the upper section is generally slightly lighter than the lower part. The tesserae range from squares to rectangles.
