Quilted cotton facing. Lahaf pieces are employed in the winter with a warming brazier set beneath the center as a cover for an entire family, among the villagers in northern Iran. Here the field is vertically striped and the pieced on border is plain. Lahafs are amazingly sturdy. They have only recently been introduced to the American market.
