A vintage Central Asian Tent Band. Judging from the end sections and the palette, this weft-float patterned strip is Baluchi in origin. The nomadic weaver has deftly repeated a double comb and diamond design in ecru and wine on the midnight blue field. The domestic use for such a technically accomplished flatweave is presently unknown.
