A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The bipartite field shows two rows of nine panels, with similarly shaped and decorated mihrabs in yellow, green, dark blue and rust. All show a single flowering “tree of life”. A cream band surrounds the sections and divides them. Main border of polychrome cloud heads in the Yun-tsao Tou manner. The panels are really too small to be useful in a mosque and the design is actually decorative employing traditional elements.
