A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This totally individual rug shows a brown field with a four-way symmetric design with bird heads on staves, and corner squares with short serpents. Two more serpent squares along the vertical axis. Radiating staves with bear heads. An interpretation of Aztec or Maya designs. Incredibly weird and striking. Palette with greys, black, and ivory.
