Cotton pattern wefts on a cotton foundation. Totally weird, with a non-objective pattern centered around an open straw polygon, with variously toned supporting triangles, boxes and other polygons, and eccentric branches at the sides, and strings of small triangles and lozenges. Straw-sand field. Zig-zag patterned partial side inner borders. Plain rust outer border surround. Obviously Art Deco style. Art Deco dhurries are an under-studied and under- appreciated carpet type. This is one of the best.
