Vintage Indian Lahore Room Size Carpet

Asymmetric knots on an all-cotton foundation. Made around the time of the Partition, this city-weave carpet features a coral faceted lozenge semi-lattice with defined reserves, some in ecru, that contain flowers or palmettes. Similar triangles fill in the ends and sides. The light straw main border showcases a flowering trapezoidal meander that embraces two-tone rosettes. Colorful, diagonal “leaves” decorate the chocolate-colored minor borders.
