A vintage Persian Bakhtiari carpet. Two columns of plain navy wide cartouches alternate with equally undecorated, well-abrashed similar red-brown panels, all within ivory jogged lattice The ecru main border features a chain of small nested lozenges on this very Moderne-style small carpet. The scale contrast of field and border is especially striking. The dark panels add depth to the composition.
