A vintage Persian Hamadan carpet. The finely abrashed umber field sustains a small-scale lozenge lattice in camel=tan and a large stepped concave lozenge medallion outlined in white cotton and other white cotton highlights appear in the main border as well. There are four roosters in the central motif. This rustic Persian rug retains all the ingenuity of earlier examples.
