Vintage Persian Isfahan Accent Rug

A wool pile with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The ecru field of this city scatter is centered around a small octogrammed medallion, surrounded by a ring of palmettes, with additional palmettes, rosettes, and symmetrical vinery elements. The field slightly opens toward one end, and the corners feature tilted palmettes supported by barbed, semi-circular leaves. The borders are unusual yet striking, consisting of monochrome strips in medium blue, red, black, and off-white.
