A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This rustic kellegi (long rug) features a rare variant of the allover Herati design, with three poles of fringed diamonds and two chains of hexagonal cartouches. The sandy straw main border displays a lightly stepped, rigidly orthogonal meander enclosing small palmettes.
