A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This village kellegi (long rug) features an elaborate, repeating allover Herati design of open hexagons, rosettes, and pairs of swirling leaves on the light blue-grey field. The beige border displays rosettes and oval cartouches.
