A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The straw field of this unusual piece shows a diagonal pattern of colored dashes, with corner cartouches featuring a Sassanid Persian king, repeated twice with identifying inscriptions, and two of an Armenian bishop. All against schematic ruins. Barbed cartouche edges, but no surrounding overall borders.
