A vintage Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. The pair to rug # 17941. The Persian flag, royal crown, and rayed sun are set above a rampant rightward tawny lion. A strong arabesque section finishes the scene at the bottom. The weave is fine. The light blue and gold main border is an effective frame for the royalist contents.
