This SW Persian tribal rug features a pole medallion of three connected hexagons, the central with the characteristic Qashqai “gul”. Conjoined triangular side fillers with en suite patterns hint at an infinitely extending pattern. A few characteristic chickens and small barnyard animals pop in. Main border in the Shikarlu pattern of chained and hooked hexagons. Earth-tone general palette. Medium tribal weave.
