In this scenic pictorial rug, two deer contemplate a pond beneath a snowcapped mountain to the right. A profusion of leafy and flowering trees stands against an ivory sky, with two birds perched or flying. The ivory border displays palmettes and diagonal leaves. The weave is quite fine and the rug dates after 1950.
