A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Against a pale blue sky, a busy nomad encampment of tents displays various domestic pursuits including cooking soup, carrying water, cutting firewood, feeding the baby watching the sheep and washing clothes. Tabriz is a large urban conglomeration, but this rug shows what it means to be a nomad. Sand ground shows off the hard working women.
