Wool warp with wool pattern wefts in slit tapestry technique. This large Kars area flatweave features a charcoal field supporting three columns of conjoined tall hexagons in rose, pistachio, sand, and cream, with stars and smaller nested lozenges enclosed within. Stars and lozenges also ornament the defined field reserves. The strongly abrashed border is adorned with cartouches, S-shaped motifs, and diagonal color stripes. In good condition and visually striking.
