This piece features a wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This urban rug creatively borrows from 17th-century Kerman carpets, incorporating ogival panels and fish scale patterns. The allover panels, in dark red, green, and sand, enclose palmettes, irises, and rosettes. The teal green main border displays tilted irises, rosettes, and square arrays of stemmed florets.
