A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This is a large-scale version of the Caucasian Afshan design on an abrashed light blue field, with paired “goosenecks”, snowflakes and lobed rosettes. The coral border continues the Caucasian Kuba-Shirvan style with a Kufesque modular repeat. A very attractive carpet with a successful enlargement of a very popular pattern.
