A Wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The plain, open crimson sub-field (met hane) is framed by a bold black surrounding field, shaped like a tabula ansata. The reciprocal triangle conforming and peripheral borders add structure, while striped plainweave end finish panels complete the design. The use of crimson is an unusual choice, compared to the more commonly seen reds.
