A vintage Moroccan Textile. This is part of an applique lambrequin with religious inscriptions including the name ‘Allah’. A flower repeat decorates the open crenellations and a triangle and merlon pattern adorns the solid border. Such applique textiles are an Egyptian specialty. but they are made elsewhere as well.
