A wool pile in symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The rich, brownish-red field features open, concave diamonds with ragged edges and petal palmette finials, enclosing various types of rosettes. Small squares, octograms, aroids, and tilted palmettes further enrich the design. The abrashed moss green strip-style border displays reversing turtles and rosettes. A very solid, compact, and virtually indestructible carpet under normal use.
