A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This solidly woven piece was constructed just after WWI and shows an allover pattern of seven columns of flattened octofoils, with enclosed palmettes, on a grey-greenfield. Complex ovals act as secondary devices. The main strip style border features elliptical upright cones and palmettes. Two red minors with oak leaves and palmettes. Plain light blue outer surround.
