A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This extremely solid and long-wearing Kurdish city carpet displays an all-over, medium-scale Herati design of open diamonds, lancet leaves, rosettes and palmettes. Balanced in all four directions. Strip style border with reversing turtles, curved leaves and rosettes. Early 1920’s carpet.
