A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The gently lobed, rust-red cartouche-shaped field is centered around a navy octagrammed medallion with a rosette focus, embedded in a straw-camel sub-medallion. Navy ragged palmette pendants frame the design, with a field filled with geometric flowers. The extended ecru corners feature more floral motifs. Navy strip-style borders showcase a fine rendition of the Heriz open scroll, incorporating bird heads and enclosing palmettes and rosettes, along with an additional arabesque. This is a very well-executed village carpet, extra-wide, and made with all natural dyes.
