A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The Herati design, arranged in three offset columns, incorporates potted flowers and is accented in rust, green, pale blue, and bone. The main rust-red border presents a continuous pattern of rosettes and palmettes. A continuous border is rare for Malayer pieces of antique or vintage date.
