An antique Persian Tabriz carpet handmade during the early 20th century. The light earthy field displays an allover pattern of palmettes, lancet leaves, and hundreds of lesser elements. Some leaves pass over palmettes to give a semi-three-dimensional effect. The palmettes of the slate blue main border are the same size as those of the field.
