Antique Persian Tabriz Carpet

A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A bold, dynamic forked meander flows effortlessly along the dark slate main border, accentuating the softly abrashed buff/rust field. The field is structured with outline fleurs-de-lys, lobate forms, and other intricate patterns, delineated by thin, volute, forked, and bi-level wiry tendrils. The four-section pattern is anchored by a small, ecru rosette-like ornament. The palette of the field is relatively restrained, complemented by a brisk, short pile.
