A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A tall palm tree at the right shades a pond with a duck and a rural hut on the far bank. Cypresses and a chenar (plane tree) add to the scene of rustic summer leisure. The sky is ecru, the hills are sand and beige, and there are several birds perching and flying. No borders, but the strip of sky at the top harbors many tiny fowl and acts as a partial border.
