An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. This finely-woven NW Persian urban carpet has a blue-grey field very closely and evenly covered by a minutely detailed allover pattern of rosettes, flower stems, and oblique twigs. The rust main border is on a much larger scale with roughly drawn large turtle palmettes as an effective contrast.
