An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. An unusual Tabriz city ruglet, the straw field is set into broad end corners with a central eight navy pendant rose medallion. Thin swags hang from the extended corners. The ivory main border connects rosette-palmettes by sinuous leaves. This is a very attractive and sophisticated rug in the ‘Hajji Jalili’ style from about 1900.
