An antique Persian Tabriz room size carpet handmade during the early 20th century. This is a Tabriz interpretation of the classical Persian garden or Chahar Bagh carpet with watercourses defining garden plots of domestic plants and flowers. Here palmettes appear as well in the individual plots. A light and subdued version of a popular traditional design.
