A gnarled prunus tree emerges from an intricately detailed scholar’s rock (tai hu stone), its branches profusely flowering as it twists upward, attracting colorful butterflies, all set against a straw-sand ground. The design features a wide range of effective blue tones, framed by a near-black, broad, plain border. The drawing is finely and precisely executed.
