A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This geometric carpet shows the Moroccan penchant for strong colors including orange, lemon yellow and light green, in a vertically banded layout with clear Anatolian sources. The orange bands show disjoint small triangles, while the ecru stripes feature X’s composed of oblique arrows. The orange border is en-suite to identical field stripes. The carpet is brighter and bolder than the Turkish antecessors.
