A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, this piece resembles a miniature Kazak. It features a bold tangerine and cerulean square medallion with longitudinal points and a divided red central square, all set against a red ground adorned with a flotilla of small ecru squares. The design is framed by an ochre border of linked small squares and includes a skirt panel at one end, decorated with rayed lozenges.
