A wool pile of symmetrical knots on a cotton foundation. The abrashed coral-red field is overlaid by an irregular straw-camel lattice, within which are set ashiks, upright flowers, hooked diamonds, nested hexagons, and other abstract shapes. A narrow, near-black border features stars. This piece represents a significant departure from the standard medallion Heriz designs.
