A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The ivory field subtly climbs up the sides in micro-crenellations, expanding into corner triangles filled with Heriz-type floral elements. A red/rust subfield features a bold navy octogrammed medallion with ragged palmette pendants and a twelve-lobed ecru sub-medallion. Bold quarter medallions project obliquely in the corners. The navy strip-style border displays an ingenious pattern of rosettes and doubly curved leaves. The carpet is crafted with natural dyes.
