A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. This exceptionally large geometric Kars carpet features two columns of four or five connected, abrashed red squares on a red-brown field. The design is highlighted with details in teal green, yellow, and ecru. An inner black border separates the field with pole medallions, while the outer ecru border showcases a simple trapezoidal meander interspersed with thin flowers. The borders narrow at the ends. The uneven square count on the poles is highly unusual. The design is bold and simplified.
