Vintage Persian Malayer Throw Rug

Here the rusty-salmon field shows a much-modified Herati pattern in which the open lozenges have aligned to four a five-figure pole medallion around which the bent “fish” leaves and rosettes orbit. Strong split vine in the straw strip-style border supports nested, roughly triangular palmettes. Cotton foundation, village work. Good condition.
