A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The navy-black field shows countless disciplined, microscopic botehs arranged in offset, half-drop, reversing rows. Botehs are a Mir specialty, and virtually no weaving from this district is without a profusion of them, though these are particularly small. There are thirteen patterned borders, the most prominent being the central ecru band, which features a version of the characteristic Saraband trapezoidal meander with pendant botehs.
